Cody had crawled out of his bunk that morning, feeling tired and drowsy. The other band members had left the bus long ago, but not without clanging around the cabinets and dropping their keys every five god damn seconds. He washed up by throwing water on his face, sliding into some skinny jeans and a tee, and dowsing himself with cologne. He reluctantly opened the door, knowing he had to get some fresh air rather than staying cooped up all day. Well, it was almost dusk now. He headed over to one of the more popular bars, the type where people were everywhere. That was just how he liked it. Flashing cameras, smiles, attention. It was all so familiar to him. That was just... him. He took a seat at the long bar, the surface stretching pretty far.
It was dark outside now, but the place wasn't much brighter. People lounged about, a few recognised him and pointed, while most walked on by. Maybe he wasn't that well-known yet, since he had joined Succubus not long ago. Codes rested his elbows on the counter, and ordered a Corona with a smile to the pretty blonde bar tender. She reminded him of one of his ex-girlfriends, with the high ponytail and long lashes. They actually looked very similar, except for the brown eyes instead of blue. "Right away!" she chirped.
Cody folded his hands while he waited, and gazed into the mirror mounted directly in front of him, behind the bar. He hadn't messed much with his hair, but most rockers had a messy up-do anyway. Besides, it suited him. The guy had his all black converse shoes on top of the thin little bar beneath the seat. He seemed... jittery. Maybe it was the soda he had chugged before he left. He didn't have to use the bathroom. Perhaps it was just his nerves. He tapped his fingers on the smooth surface of the bar and tried but failed to make a beat. The girl returned with his beer before he thanked her politely. Cody took a sip, savoring the liquid. Why had he come? There was beer in the bus... It was probably a last minute decision made on a whim. No reason to leave now, might as well hang out for a bit before heading back. So he stayed in his crouched position, holding the drink with both hands as it rested on the counter.

"Who died?" Lou asked, trying to make a joke as she slid into the seat next to the black haired guy. She wasn't quite sure what she was doing in the midst of the bar, Lou probably should've kept herself squashed in her band's bus, instead of deciding to adventure outside into the real world, but hey, who didn't want a little adventure in their lives at some point? Lou flashed a quick smile to the guy, knowing he was probably from another band, seeing how nicely the waitress had handed him the dark amber liquid, compared to Lou asking if she could have a glass of water. The girls always seemed to like the band guys better. Whether that was because some girls were sluts and just wanted to get in bed with her band mates, or Lou was a girl so she didn't have guys throwing themselves at her, (ignoring the few weird tweets from a couple of fan girls that Lou hoped were actually for Phoenix or Jesus), it just seemed that people didn't really, well, like her as much as her other band mates.
Waiting for his response, Lou tugged a bit at her red plaid shirt that she had thrown on after her other female band mate had practically shoved her out, insisting that Lou should 'go out and live'. When she had said that in their interview, she hadn't meant 'live everyday'. It was more like live once a week. Or once a month. Or you know, maybe once every couple of months. Lou was like a tree, she didn't like getting moved around to new situations and adventures. Hell, if she was living in the seventies with the rest of the hippies she would've been the straightest hippie in the world.
Basically, she just didn't like adventure.
"Can I have a Coke, please?" Lou asked the bartender, earning a disgruntled glare from the blondie and she cringed, before turning back to the black haired boy. "Anyways, who are you? I don't think I've seen you before." She started, tilting her head to the side, watching him. Her little voice inside of her suggested that probably one of the reasons she hadn't seen anyone was because she hadn't been out of her claustrophobic space, only leaving to go to rehearsals and brief meetings, and even then Lou had her nose stuck in her phone, so of course it was obvious that she hadn't seen anybody other than her band mates. She smiled briefly again at him, hoping she wasn't scaring him away. She tended to do that a lot.

"Who died?" The grin that appeared on Cody's face was unexpected. He didn't even have to look at her to know that this chick was alright. He glanced at the girl and turned his attention back to his beer, taking a swig, the smile still there. She was pretty, and he felt like he had seen her before. Codes could vaguely remember watching her play the keyboard, but that's all he could think of. He didn't even know her band's name. When he noticed the thin silver ring on her nose, he smiled again. Their choice of piercings were similar, because he had one too, on the same side. She asked the bar tender for a Coke, but Cody noticed the menacing glare the blonde shot to the brunette.
Once the snobby woman had passed, the guy snorted, his eyes following her. "What's up her ass?" He chuckled after that, looking back to the stranger. It took him a second to realize she had asked a question. "O-oh! I'm Cody." He said with an apologetic smile. "The bassist for Succubus. Who're you?" He asked in a playful tone, raising his eyebrows. He hoped he wasn't coming off as creepy, since he tended to do that quite a bit, when really, he was just trying to be friendly. He thought for a little about the girl, trying to see if he could remember more to add to the conversation. Unfortunately, nothing could really come to mind.

A smile creeped up on her face as she realized that he wasn't about to get up and run away from her like a madmen, but decided for the conversation instead. The two sat in silence for a moment, Lou kicking her feet around like a small child in a malt shop, only instead of her mother taking her, she had the greasy black haired kid for company, instead of a nice man who tended the shop she got a prissy blonde fan girl who didn't like her, and the pastel walls and rows of candy were filled with alcohol and people who felt the need to drink in the early morning.
Talk about a fairy tale gone wrong.
A hint of silver caught her eye, and Lou added a piercing much like her own to her observations about him. He seemed...quiet but disturbed. She chuckled quietly at his joke, adding into the quiet murmurs of the bar, glancing down at her feet before hearing him say his name. Even through all the fame and work she had put into YNAH, Lou was still the shyest of the group. She was fine when it came to business, but her own social markings were poor. Very poor.
"Well, it's nice to meet you, Cody." Lou said, testing the name on her tongue. Now that he had told her he was a part of Succumbus, a blurry vision of the band appeared in her head as she tried to remember them. "You guys are the screamo band, right? I like your music." Lou complimented, giving him a quick flash of her smile.
"I'm Lou, Lou Price." She provided, awkwardly thrusting her hand out for him to shake. Wow. Tujmblr was really getting to her. "Keyboardist for YNAH." Lou added, almost forgetting. She wasn't quite sure what to make of him, a guy around her age drinking in the middle of the day obviously had something on his mind, but he seemed nice. He played music, which for Lou, made him at the top of her "relatively okay people i've met on this tour that haven't dragged me out to party or be crazy. Yet." list.
