Dakota had been awake for all of five minutes and he could already feel the guilt crashing down on him. He'd woken up alone, yet there was evidence he hadn't spent the entire night alone, and he knew that Jasey was back at her hotel.
The thought of her was enough to make him a little nauseous. She didn't deserve this. She deserved someone better, someone who wouldn't sleep with people they had known for just over thirty minutes behind her back. Kota had an underlying feeling that she was aware of what was going on, but if that was the case he couldn't understand why she hadn't ended the relationship yet. Was she just in denial or was she simply oblivious?
To be truthful the real question was why? Why did he keep cheating?
It was one of those questions that didn't have a real answer. At least, an answer that made any sort of sense. He didn't know why he did it. He loved her, he really did, but he just couldn't stop. It was probably partly because the relationship he shared with Jasey, while steady was plain, really. It had no sort of spice to it.
And the kicker was he knew what it was like to be on the receiving end of this sort of thing, but even that wasn't enough to make him stop.
He was halfway through a very charred-looking piece of toast when his phone buzzed, thus catching his attention. His face dropped, he knew exactly who it was.
He thought he was going to get dragged under and swept away by the waves of guilt, but he knew that was a ridiculous idea. It was a simple invite for him to join her at the beach if he had nothing better to do with his time and really he didn't. Dakota did, however, consider telling her that he was in fact busy, but he'd lied to her enough already. Not to mention he knew if he didn't go he'd just spend the rest of his time up until the set later that night on the bus drowning in his own guilt about his stupid decisions in life.
The closest lake wasn't too far away, and thankfully Kota had a bit of a way with words. He'd managed to borrow a car from one of the tour staff as it was a bit too far for him to walk, that and he simply couldn't be bothered. It was a lot easier and quicker to drive.
Soon enough he'd reached the lake. It was a little foreign for him to go to a lake as opposed to the actual ocean, as he'd lived in typically sunny Florida all his life. He didn't think he'd ever be able to survive long in a mostly-landlocked state, but he assumed people just became accustomed to it eventually.
It wasn't difficult to spot Jasey, she was sitting in a considerably quieter area. And for that, Kota was thankful. He didn't really want to have to spend too much time looking for his girlfriend, he would rather spend the time with her.
"Hey beautiful." He made himself comfortable next to her with a small smile. Thankfully he had plenty of experience with lying to people and pulling the wool over their eyes so to speak, so it barely showed through in his tone of voice. That wasn't to say that he didn't think Jasey was beautiful because he honestly did think that. She was the kind of person who radiated a positive vibe and that was what drew him to her, really.
"Hope you weren't waiting too long." He really had no concept of how long it'd been since he'd received the text, but he assumed it had been a while. Kota knew he was notorious for taking his time with things. "So, how's tour treating you?"
OOC - I'll make this pretty tomorrow I needed to be in bed half an hour ago ): It's a lot of ramble and I didn't mean to go over 500 words but yeah. Sorry it took me so long!

[/b] she offered him a smile as her green eyes focused on him. She waited until he was settled to lean against his side feeling the familiar butterflies erupt her stomach as she did so. ’’I haven’t been waiting too long besides I’ve been thinking’’ she told him with a shrug resting her hand against his leg with a sigh. ’’Tour has been ok I guess, not to exciting. What about for you? It’s been awhile since I’ve seen you’’ she spoke with a small frown not wanting to think of the real reasons she hadn’t been seeing him.
