- - -we're fated to pretend [atrb=border,0,true] It had been a pretty boring night for Jayden. He hadn’t really done much, and sometimes those days were needed. He had gone out and ate a nice bacon cheeseburger for dinner and then came back to his bus and sat his butt down on that couch and just watched a little bit of television. So his evening definitely had not been exciting of any sort but that really did not bother him. Excitement and chaos was never his thing. In fact, the chaos made him have a near panic attack because it was that bad. Things had to be in order. So how he found himself in the situation that he was in was beyond him, but somehow it happened. He quickly shook those thoughts out of his head and started to think of something, anything, else. He started to think about how some brownies would actually be really amazing right now. He would have to actually go out and buy them of course, but god damn did they sound delicious. And that was when he decided that he might actually want to go out and get some brownies. It was a rare occasion where he would stop what he was doing for something he had to buy but hey, food was a necessity, and no one had said that it had to be good food.
So that was what he did. He went to the store and got some damn good brownies with M+M’s in them. He ate three of them before writing his name on the box and threatening castration if anyone ate one. He would not really do it, but he would think about it. He was very protective over his food. And with that he licked the chocolate off of his fingers before trading his jeans for pajama pants. Might as well go to bed now, seeing as it was late. Then his light eyes flicked over towards Lily’s bunk and he frowned when he noticed that she was not here yet. It’s not like he was her keeper or anything but it kind of worried him that she was not back yet. He should not be worried though, it’s not like they were dating. He bit his lip at the thought and then pushed it away once more before walking over to his bunk and getting cozy. She was probably with her boyfriend anyway so she should be fine. And with that he grumbled and rolled onto his side and closed his eyes.
Sleep was not for him right now at this moment because that was when he heard someone stumbling through the door. Well this was unfortunate. So he sat up and turned to see very familiar dark hair and a very familiar face walking through the door. Oh, guess that Lily was home. So he stood up and walked over towards her and that was when he noticed that she was definitely not sober. He frowned at her while he pushed his dark hair out of his face. “Hey loser. Where have you been?” he questioned casually, wondering why she had decided that it was a good idea to get drunk. Not that it was any of his business but he really was curious. And being curious would never kill him right? Well, maybe wrong but right now it would not. He continued to frown at her as he walked over to her. She seriously was probably beyond plastered and he was curious as to why. And again, it was not really his business but still, now he was really curious. Maybe her and Julian had had a fight or something? Probably not, because that would have been too easy. But then he froze as he remembered what happened the last time that they had gotten drunk together and he immediately wished that he would have just pretended to be asleep. They really did not need another fiasco like what happened the last time. He gulped and prayed that this would turn out okay. He really was not ready for guilt again.

[/b] she sing songed pushing her dark hair back with a smile. At this point her head was screaming at her reminding her of the last time she had been this drunk with him and the fact that she needed to keep her head straight. But she was so hammered at that point that the only thing she could think of was the fact that the boy in front of her was absolutely electric and that every time he touched her she felt like she was flying which was cheesy but true. A pout found its way to her lips as she looked up at Jayden she realized she hadn’t answered his question and that he had called her a loser. ’’Hey be nice’’ she said sadly shaking her head before resting her hand against her forehead. ’’Whats up? she giggled ’’I’m just soo happy! I went out to the club and god I just feel great!’’ she told him probably louder then she needed too letting another laugh escape her lips before standing and stumbling towards him. She rested her hands on his chest to keep from falling as she looked up. ’’Did I wake you up? I’m so so so sorry Jayy go back to sleep!’’ she told him with a frown she couldn’t help but feel guilty that she had gotten him out of bed for nothing really. Then she tried to ignore the electricity pumping through her hands as she touched his chest. She pulled back stumbling again and finding the couch once more letting her eyes search the bus. ’’I think maybe I’ll go look at the stars or watch a movie, I’ll be quiet Jay so you can sleep’’ she told him looking down at her feet and reaching for her cell phone that was still on the floor. She fell forward then her face hitting the coffee table and a groan escaping her lips as she slumped to the ground. Maybe moving wasn’t in her best interest after all. - - -we're fated to pretend [atrb=border,0,true] Jayden raised an eyebrow at her while she stumbled her way around the bus. Well, he knew that she was drunk but he had no idea that she was plastered. This was an interesting change of events. So he smirked at her while she said his name in a sing song voice. It was not much, not really, but it was enough to make his heart start to beat a thousand miles a minute. He wondered if she could hear it. Probably not, she was so drunk she could barely function. He chuckled at her now. Sure, this was probably not very funny to her but it was hilarious to him. But he could not get the other night out of his head. Well, it wasn’t terribly recent but it was still enough to seem like it happened only yesterday. And the guilt that came with it creeped back into his mind and he wanted to push them away. He wanted the thought to go away as well but it was making itself very present. So with a sigh he watched as she pushed her hair out of her face and it was enough to make him bite his bottom lip. Nope, he has to just think about something unpleasant. He could not think about the bad things in his head. That was definitely not keeping with a friendly environment and right now he was thinking about mud. And babies. Mud covered babies. This was going to be a long night.
Then he chuckled at her reaction to him calling her a loser. She really was not a loser but, he was trying to just be funny. Instead she was being the funny one. And actually quite adorable but he’d bite his tongue on that one. She really would hit him if he said that and he did not feel like getting smacked. Not today at least. “Yeah I can tell. Did you drink all the liquor there too?” he said with a smirk. He was only joking of course, but he could definitely smell the booze on her breath. And when she asked what he was up to he shrugged. “Well, I was trying to go to bed until I was rudely interrupted.” he tried to give her a stern look but it was not happening. Instead he offered her a grin. And then she had her hands on his chest. He froze in the spot as the electricity pulsed through his body. He was not sure what to do, but he needed to do something. And it should probably be to tell her that she could have fun doing whatever else she was doing and that he was going to go to bed. That was definitely innocent.
He shook his head as she told him to go to bed. He did not want to, not when she was acting like this. He probably would not be able to sleep until she was sound asleep, whether it be in her bed or on the couch. “Nah, I won’t be able to sleep. So I could watch a movie or stars with you. If you wanted.” he told her with a shrug and then he bit down on his bottom lip. He really hoped that she would want him to stay with her. And even if she did not he would probably check on her every so often to make sure that she was fine. He kept telling himself it was because it’s what his friend would have wanted him to do and he almost believed it himself.

[/b] she questioned lifting herself from her spot and stumbling over to the cabinet that held the Crew’s liquor. She searched before finding a tequila bottle and opening it tilting it to her lips and making a face as it burned down her throat. It tasted awful but at that point she really didn’t care. She leaned against the counter as she drank some more frowning at his next statement. Lily really did feel bad that she had ruined his sleep because she hadn’t meant to. The last thing she wanted to do was upset Jayden and the fact that she couldn’t tell if he was joking or not worried her. So she took another gulp from the bottle before moving over to him once more. She leaned up kissing his cheek in a friendly way and tried to ignore the electricity pulsing through her or the fact that her heart was beating a million times faster. ’’Oh no Jayden I’m so sorry’’ she whispered sadly pulling back and squeezing his arm all she wanted to do was comfort her friend and apologize even if it seemed ridiculous. ’’I should have been quieter’’ she muttered pushing her hair back before stumbling over to the couch and tilting the bottle back once more. She watched him with his light eyes as he spoke blushing slightly at the thought of him wanting to spend time with her. Which wouldn’t have affected her if she was sober but right now It made her giddy to no end. ’’Lets go look at stars then!’’ she said excitedly standing and taking his hand stumbling off the bus and out into the parking lot. She pulled him over to a patch of grass before laying back and looking up at the sky resting her hands against her stomach as she waited for him to join her. ’’I’ve always loved the stars’’ she found herself whispering before glancing over at him gently. - - -we're fated to pretend [atrb=border,0,true] Whoever thought that alcohol was a grand idea should have been shot on the spot. It was not a grand idea. In fact, it ruined lives. It could ruin both of their lives and that was because of something that happened with alcohol. He was not supposed to be thinking about it though. He was supposed to be making sure that this girl in front of him did not hit her face again. He should not be sitting here, realizing how attractive she was when she was drunk and how her laugh was the most beautiful laugh in the world. No, that was not the friendly thing to do and he really needed to focus on their promise. Just friends. That’s all that they could be. He felt a pain in his heart as he thought about it but he would have to save that whole thing for another time. Right now she clearly needed his help functioning. How she had even made it back to the bus was beyond him but there had been stranger shit that happened. He then wondered how much did she really have to drink tonight? It was clearly a lot more than he thought at first because she was beyond plastered. Well kudos to her for keeping up for this long. Normally people were probably about five seconds from landing face first on the floor and dozing off. He had done it plenty of times before.
When she said that she wanted to have more drinks he started to say that it was probably not that great of an idea but she had already left and found the tequila. So he let out a sigh and pushed his hair out of his face, wondering if she should be doing that. “You’re going to get alcohol poisoning at this rate. And then I’ll have to drag your sorry behind into the hospital and look like a douche.” he said after she took a drink of it. He wondered how she could still be going. Didn’t she have to puke already? That seemed to be a big thing with drinking. But here she was, acting like at trooper. So he just gave her a smirk and then looked away. It seemed like this was going to be a very interesting night and Jayden was curious as to what would happen. He knew that he should probably take the alcohol away from her and tell her to go to bed but that was what he was not doing. He would let her have her fun and if she got alcohol poisoning then he would take the blame. The thought of that happening made him frown slightly but he did not think about it.
While he was standing there having his internal monologue he felt a pair of lips meet his cheek and he froze once more. The spot where her lips had touched his skin was on fire and he almost let his hand touch it but he kept that part of him next to his body. He was not going to touch it. So he looked at her and them smiled a little sadly at her. Jesus this was harder than he thought now. And before he could react to anything else she had grabbed his hand and dragged him outside. Okay, he guessed that they were going to look at the stars. That could be fun, he had not gone star gazing in a while. And he then joined her as she said she had loved the stars. He looked up and nodded before lying next to her and let his hands rest at his sides. “Yeah, it’s relaxing.” he said, his light eyes looking at the sky. He was glad that she accepted his company, if not he would probably have gone to bed really sad and that was not something that he wanted to do. At least not tonight.

[/b] she told him with a giggle running her fingers through her dark hair with a smile. ’’but I’ll stop if it makes you happy’’ she added with a shrug. Then she ignored the fact that he had frozen up after her kiss because well that kind of reaction sent chills down her spine and even though she was drunk she didn’t want to think about that or all the feelings he was giving her. So instead she stuck to dragging him outside without another word. As Lily lay in the grass and stared up at the sky she couldn’t help but feel at peace. Despite the fact that they were dancing around her because the world was spinning she thought they were absolutely beautiful. She rested her hands against her stomach and just continued to stare up recalling all the times she and her mother had spent looking at the stars when she was a little girl, before her father went crazy and her mother was too weak and in love to leave him. She had ruined both her and lily’s lives and to be honest she had never forgiven her. Her dad was still running around somewhere or at least that’s what she figured she didn’t actually know. She hoped he was dead because of all people it’s what he deserved. She didn’t miss him one bit and if she ever saw him again it would be too soon. She had to admit though if her father wasn’t the way he was she probably would have never run away and met Julian or Jayden matter and she was a little thankful that she did. Lily brought her gaze back to Jayden as he spoke smiling a bit as she examined him taking in every one of his features and memorizing them for later. ’’Mhm yeah’’ she said in agreement pushing her dark hair back as she kept her gaze focused on him. There were so many memories she had with the boy next to her that she never wanted to forget and so many things that she wanted to say to him. If anything this was probably the best time to do it because she could brush off anything she regretted in the morning and say she was drunk or that she didn’t know what she was talking about. She bit her lip as she pondered this searching him slightly trying to see what he was thinking even if that was an impossible thing to peg down. ’’Jay’’ she started her light eyes focusing on him as she furrowed her eyebrows together trying to come up with the words. ’’I just I wanted to tell you what happened between us I don’t regret it…I mean I never want to hurt Julian but me and him weren’t exactly together that night anyway we weren’t even official yet, I don’t regret what happened between us and even if we were drunk I still remember it’’ she spoke softly turning her gaze back to the sky afraid to see his reaction to her words. She knew she shouldn’t have said it but it was something she felt that he had to know, that despite her exterior she really did care for this boy even if she cared for his best friend too. - - -we're fated to pretend [atrb=border,0,true] The stars were beautiful outside. Jayden always had thought that he should have taken time to just star gaze a little bit during his time but then he would forget and then forget about it. Not that it was an excuse or anything but it was what it was. But now that he was laying here with a person who he could call a pretty good friend it seemed like he should just do it more. It was really relaxing and he let a slight grin take over his lips as he folded his arm back to lay his head on his wrist. Sure, it was not the most comfortable position ever but it was better than nothing. He should have brought a pillow out or something, at least then he would be pretty comfortable. Although that would also mean that gross would get into his pillow and that was not very nice. It would mean that he would be breathing in dirt and getting itchy because most of the time grass was itchy. Or maybe that was just for him but who cared? He should be focused on more important things like the girl in front of him. Or, well next to him technically but he was not thinking in technicalities and he wouldn’t probably all through the night. They were so overrated.
That was when Jayden’s mind started to wonder what would happen if he had never met Lily. His life probably would be totally different, but he wondered how much different it would have been. It would probably be very boring because sometimes Lily kept him on his toes. And then sometimes he wanted to just hit her over the head but he’d take that over not knowing her any day. He had never really thought about that until now though. Sometimes fate had worked in funny ways and he was glad that they had pushed them together, even if it was in the worst way possible. He was kind of thankful though. Like he usually said, she definitely kept things interesting.
When she had said his name he turned his light eyes to face her and he wondered what she was going to say to him. It could have been a million things and the fact that she was drunk made it seem like it would be a million more. There were about two million things that this girl could say and he let his mind think every single one in a fraction of a second. So he raised an eyebrow at her and smirked before she started to speak again. And that was when she said something that made him both want to smile and want to cry. He had never really regretted what they had done either and he remembered every single second. He remembered every single syllable, every single touch and every single kiss. So he looked back up at the stars before biting his lip, trying to hide the smile that was forming on his lips. “I don’t regret it either, you know. I’d like to think it was actually one of my final moments in life.” he turned his head to look at her with a grin on his face. He then nudged her with his shoulder before turning back to look at the stars. So maybe it really was not one of his finer moments in life, he could still joke around right? That was definitely not illegal.

- - -we're fated to pretend [atrb=border,0,true] This was definitely not one of Jayden’s finer moments in life. He probably should not be out here with a drunk girl that he shared an intimate moment with. Especially since that girl was taken by someone he held dear to him. That was probably the worst thing that he could have done in the world. And he really did not care. Well, that was a lie. He cared. The guilt was tearing away at his insides but he wanted to not care. He wanted to be like those guys who just slept with all their friends’ girlfriends. That would make his life so much easier. But Jayden was not even remotely like that, he still had a conscious who told him that this was bad. He would occasionally glance at Lily and wonder what she was thinking about, but that was really it. He also wondered if her lips were still as soft as the last time his had touched hers but that was something that he would never speak out loud, at least not right now. It was rude to think that like especially since she had told him no plenty of times before and he would not turn into a rapist or anything like that. No thank you.
The worst thing about this whole situation was probably the fact that this was not just some random girl who had a random boyfriend. He was introduced to her by his best friend. This was probably what was wrong with this whole entire situation. Maybe, if it was some random guy he would not feel as bad about chasing after her but this could ruin a friendship. It could ruin a lot of things that he really did not want to ruin but he could not help it. He had fell hard and fast for this girl and it was all on accident. It’s not like he would have wished for this, who would want to. But he was getting a little frustrated on the fact that he kept getting all hung up on her. He could not even go out and enjoy himself because his brain would automatically ask him what he would think of him making out with some random girl that he had met. Then he would have to stop and it would just put him in a bad mood for the rest of the day or night, depending. That was, until he saw her pretty face. It was beyond frustrating.
At her words about what had happened between them being a mistake he almost wanted to just go to bed and pout. That really stung and he hoped that he could mask his feelings to make his face stay content. He felt his lips turn into a thin line for a second before he let out a sigh and continued to listen to what she had to say. It was really rude not to listen. But then he felt his mouth hang open for a couple seconds at her last part of the statement. So he did make her feel something. It was a start. Not that he wanted to break up her and her boyfriend but the selfish boy part of his brain was starting to take control when he wanted it to just back off. “I wouldn’t call it a mistake. You opened my eyes, I guess. Even if it’s cornier than shit. But I really like you, you know. And I don’t want to ruin the friendship that we have because I just need you in my life and at the moment I don’t care what that is. You’re one of my best friends you know?” he had not meant for any of that to sound like one big cheese ball but it kind of came out that way and he felt his face grow warm because of it. Well, he could not take it back so whatever.
