KIND OF LIKE THE LITTLE RUSH YOU GET , [newclass=.lyrics]height: 150px; width: 200px;[/newclass] [newclass=.lyricsh]background-color: #687e3f; padding: 5px; opacity: 0; height: 140px; width: 190px; -webkit-transition: 2s ease; -moz-transition: 2s ease; -o-transition: 2s ease; text-align:center;[/newclass] [newclass=.lyricsh:hover]opacity: 0.9; -webkit-transition: 2s ease; -moz-transition: 2s ease; -o-transition: 2s ease;[/newclass] [newclass=.info]font-family: open sans condensed; text-transform: uppercase; font-size: 20px; letter-spacing: 2px; margin-top: 0px; font-color: #000000; line-height: 140%; text-align: justify;[/newclass] | closing her eyes, selene slouched a bit further in her lawn chair, raising her right arm up to take a drag from the filter of her cigarette. she was relaxing now, after she'd gotten everything set up for when atticus and link were to arrive. she wasn't sure which board game link would want to play, so she set up sorry and monopoly on different tables; one in the living area of the bus, and the other on the kitchen table. luckily everyone else was out doing something, so no one would come in and need to use the space for a while. alongside the games, she'd also made up a bowl of cookie batter. for some reason, whenever link came around, she turned into such a kiddie-lover, and spoiled him worse than his grandmother would. it was rather out of character for her, considering she really didn't like a lot of kids, but link was the love of her life whenever he was around or mentioned. if she saw anything she liked that made her think of link, she bought it if she had the money. most of the time she had to stop herself from over-spoiling him. a lot of it was because he had a really awesome dad, too, and she'd do anything for atticus, so getting a gift here and there didn't seem like a bad idea.
currently, she was having her last cigarette before they arrived, not wanting to smoke in front of her little best friend. flicking the ash, she opened her eyes to inspect her cell phone, replying to a facebook message, before dulling letting it flop back down in her lap. taking another drag, she pursed her lips and exhaled and flicked the butt away, knowing that it wouldn't catch on anything in the parking lot. now that her smoke was finished, she could actually enjoy the real flavour of her beverage; grabbing her iced coffee from the side of her chair, she raised it up to her lips close enough to lick a small chunk of whipped cream from the top of the cold liquid. letting it melt for a moment in her mouth, she smiled to herself, glad that no one was around to see her indulge in what would probably be described as vulgar. swallowing, she finally took a sip of the coffee, washing down the sweet taste of the topping with cold caffeine.
crinkling her toes in her slippers, she rested her the hand holding her drink down on the armrest, glancing around her surroundings. it wasn't that much of a view, considering there were a bunch of buses around, but the sky was bright and clear, only a few clouds in sight. that was enough to keep her patient. plus, it wasn't like they were all that far away, now was it? |

they brushed their teeth together, they washed their faces together and, seeing as atticus himself didn't have any hair, he helped his son with his. the young boy had become very patient and had managed to kep himself still while atticus combed up the hair into a point and sprayed it with hair spray. sometimes, if he knew that himself and link would be out for long periods of time, he would put a bit of knox in his son's hair to keep it lasting longer. today was one of those days. having planned a play date with link's favourite 'auntie', atticus knew there would be play fighting and rough housing going on. he also knew just how upset link got when his mohawk fell over or came apart. he had got better but there were still times where the poor kid would burst into tears and atticus would have to fix it for him.
after the two of them were dressed and ready to go, atticus and link both left their hotel room and headed out towards the nearest coffee shop. though it wasn't exactly that early, there was no way that atticus could go without a good coffee.
a short wait and cup of coffee in atticus' hand, the two were on their way to the venue, link asking questions the entire time. it fascinated the young father, hearing his son ask the most simple questions about things and realizing that it was his way of learning. holding his son's hand, they crossed the road and into the venue, link's excitement growing as he realized that they were getting closer to hanging out with auntie sel. smiling to himself, atticus was glad that link had some sort of mother figure to latch onto and selene was always so good to him. there were times where atticus would have to tell selene to not buy link anything, if only because she tended to spoil him. it was kind of funny to the young man, if only because it all seemed so unlike her to do such things.
as atticus let those thoughts run through his head, he suddenly heard link's high pitched voice cutting through the air, "auntie!" he cried out before letting go of his father's hand and running into selene's arms. shortly after, atticus caught up with the two, hearing link sputter out excited words, "for a second there i thought he was going to bulldoze you over." he stated with a smirk before putting his hands in his pockets. |

just in time for link to catch up to her, selene bent down and spread her arms wide for a hug, letting out an enthusiastic laugh when link jumped at the chance. she barely kept her balance, but she didn't mind. releasing the hug after a moment, she straightened, poking one of his liberty spikes carefully. "you're wearing my favourite size of spikes, little man," she cooed innocently, beaming down at him. at the sound of atticus' voice, selene's smile turned to link's father, though it held a more.. unsettle interest in what was beneath his vest. "he almost did. you keep feeding him the stuff you do, and he's gonna be stronger than you before he's twenty." |
[/b] smirking, she waved her left hand towards the bus' open door. grabbing her cell phone and drink, selene met up with them, heading into the bus after they'd made it up the stairs. "you guys are gonna have to decide on a game to play; sorry, or monopoly."[/b] setting her cell phone down on the counter, letting it leave her mind as soon as she set it down, she took a small sip from her drink and leaned against the kitchenette. "but, if you ask me, you dad's really cruddy at sorry. we might have a better chance at beating him at that." her tone was playful, and the wink she sent atticus' way made it more than obvious that there was no harm in her statement, just fun. after link chose what he wanted to play, selene let him go ff to get everything set up how he wanted, and to have the first pick of the available pawns. while he did that, selene glanced over at her tattooed friend, sending him a playful smile. "how you doin'?"[/color][/div][/div][/td][/tr][/table][/div][/center]
