tv interview
/START CLIP
Host: Hello viewers! We've got a special treat for you tonight, ladies and gentleman. Please welcome Kade Abelli from Consider the Sea!
Audience: (cheers and whistles)
Kade: (walks out on stage, waving)
Host: Kade, please have a seat.
Kade: Okay. (nervous laughter)
Host: You seem a little nervous.
Kade: Ah, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't. (chuckles) This is my first TV interview.
Host: I see. Well, we're very honored to have you in the studio tonight.
Kade: I'm glad. (smiles)
Host: So Kade, how does it feel to have been picked up by a record label and to record an album?
Kade: Oh, it feels indescribable. I need thought me and my friends garage band would be able to make this far.
Host: Don't be so humble.
Kade: Ah, I can't help but be!
Host: Sure, sure. So how is the rest of your band doing?
Kade: They're well, I assume. They haven't told me otherwise. I haven't been able to spend much time with them. (frowns)
Host: Ooo, could it be because of Jillian?
Audience: (ooo's and ahh's)
Kade: (embarrassed) Well yes and no. I had been spending time with her, but we... broke up, recently.
Audience: (gasps)
Host: Oh, I'm sorry to hear that Kade.
Kade: It's okay, I guess.
Host: So are you back in the dating game?
Kade: No, I think I'm going to take a break from it. I want to focus on songwriting and band. We're going to be on the Live Wire tour and it's going to be hectic.
Host: Oh that's right! That must be exciting.
Kade: It is! It's such a great opportunity for the band.
Host: I heard that Consider the Sea is going to release a new album this year. Is that true?
Kade: I don't know if I'm allowed to answer that.
Host: Ah, playing secret are we?
Kade: (smiles prettily)
Host: So Kade, tell me about yourself.
Kade: What do you want to know?
Host: Let's start easy then. Where are you from?
Kade: I'm from San Francisco, California.
Host: Is your family from there as well?
Kade: My dad is. My mom is originally from South Korea, and she moved to America about 25 years ago? My dad's family had lived in San Francisco for a long time, though. They're Italian.
Host: Oh your mom is from South Korea? I didn't know that. Can she speak English?
Kade: She can speak English, but at home with my father and I she speaks Korean.
Host: So you know how to speak Korean?
Kade: I do.
Audience: (ooo's and claps)
Host: Whoa, you must be really smart.
Kade: Aha, not really. I grew up speaking it with my mom.
Host: But still, aren't you really smart? I heard you got a 2100 on the SAT.
Kade: (embarrassed) Ah... I might have...
Host: (laughs) Am I making you uncomfortable?
Kade: No, it's not that. I'm just bad at talking about myself.
Host: Aw, you should be! You're cute and interesting. (nudges with elbow)
Kade: (laughs) If you say so.
Host: Well Kade, it seems our time is almost up. Is there anything else you want to say to our viewers?
Kade: Sure! I hope that you guys can come out and see us on the Live Wire tour. It would mean a lot to me!

magazine article about kade
Kade Abelli, known simply as Kay by his fans, is a very talented vocalist and guitarist. The half-Korean, half-Italian musician is from San Francisco, California and is part of the band Consider the Sea. He is an Opera-nut, loves fudge, and looks like an all-around nice guy. But don't let his looks fool you! He is a known party animal and womanizer (well, according to his ex-girlfriend). He is currently touring with his band on the Live Wire tour. Watch out for Kade, we feel like he's a rising star in the music business!
a journal entry
Dear Journal,
Hi. It's Jan 3, 2013, and it was a pretty sucky day. I know I've never used you before, and it's a little ironic I'm using you now since Jillian gave me you. Why is that ironic, you ask? Well, it's because she broke up with me today. And I don't even know why! It was just an out-of-nowhere thing, like one minute we're eating lunch in this bistro and the next moment she's breaking my heart. And I know I didn't do anything wrong. I bought her everything she wanted! I never cheated on her! Well, I had cheated in the past, but not on her. I was actually serious about her...
I think it's pretty safe to say I'm going to take a break from dating. I know I pretty much slept with everyone in the business it seems like, but I think I need to stop. Especially after this heartbreak, things just don't seem the same. It really sucks. Maybe I can get some good songs out of this, right? Ah, that wasn't funny. Seems like I won't be able to laugh my way out of this.
Thanks for listening.
Sincerely,
Kade
