the membergroups
just a handy dandy list of the membergroups we have here on live wire, and some basic information about them (:
MUSICIANS:
the musicians are basically what the tour is all about. they're here to perform music for the masses, whether they be part of a band, or a solo artist. they're main responsibilities are showing up to perform and attend publicity events such as signings. for the duration of the tour, they live in buses.
CREW:
the crew work closely with bands to ensure that everything is in order behind the scenes so that the musicians' performances go to plan. whether they're roadies or merch, they all have important jobs to do more often than not. ccrew members typically live in buses with the musicians while on tour, but for bands with larger teams of crew, the workers have their own separate bus.
TOUR STAFF:
the tour staff are the head honchos of the tour. like the crew, they do a lot of behind the scenes work to make sure things run smoothly. more often than not, they're running around trying to make sure everything is going as they should be. because they're hard working and are better paid, the tour sets them up in hotels, rather than giving them a bus.
THE MEDIA & VENDORS:
the media and vendors are affiliated with the tour directly. the media consists of journalists, interviewers and photographers representing a company and reporting back to them, or even freelance bloggers who keep the internet up to date with the happenings around tour. vendors are people representing charities and selling their merch to get the charities name out there. media workers and vendors stay in hotels.
THE FANS:
the fans are obviously people who love the musicians and spend their days following the tour. whether they're living out of their car, or forking out for their own hotel room, fans need to pay for most everything their selves.
